Katie: Katie came to Discover Chiropractic in 2006 after she was diagnosed with a condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia. Trigeminal Neuralgia is a neurological condition that causes extreme pain in the jaw and face. It is loosely nicknamed the "Suicide Disease" because the pain is so intense that it causes its victims to lose hope and take their own lives. Katie had Trigeminal Neuralgia off and on but the most extreme case was January 2006, halfway through her senior year in high school. She went to medical doctor after medical doctor. Each one said that this was a condition that she would have to live with and the only option was drugs or to cut off the nerves in her face. So being the milder of the two, Katie went on multiple pain killers and anti-depressants. Each drug caused her to have extreme mood swings and drowsiness. Essentially she would wake up, cry, and then sleep for 12-14 hours at a time. Traditional school was not an option at this time, Katie had to get tutors so that she could still graduate with her class. There seemed to be no hope.

However, in Katie's case through many prayers there was a glimmer of hope, God led her mother into a conversation with the team at Discover Chiropractic on how they could help Katie through specific, scientific, chiropractic care. Katie's mom immediately brought her in to see Dr. Jeremy and through specific adjustments of the atlas and upper cervical region, Katie gained her life back! Katie says, "My pain was almost instantly better, it took about a month for me to be pain free. And to be pain free is truly a blessing from God!" Katie noticed that not only did her Trigeminal Neuralgia no longer exist but she also no longer had severe migraines, ear infections, or common colds and the flu. Maggie: Hi, my name is Maggie and this is my chiropractic story. I started as a chiropractic assistant in January 2009. I had never been to a chiropractor prior to starting as an assistant with the Drs. Hess. I was suffering with severe back pain, menstrual cramps, and lack of good sleep due to my back problems. After my first Specific Scientific Chiropractic Adjustment I felt different. I went to sleep that day and noticed that I fell asleep faster than usual with no back problems that night. The healing was amazing so I started to tell everyone that I knew about my experience. Several weeks later I noticed my menstrual cycle came but without any cramps. "How awesome is that!!! Marianne: Hi! I've been under Chiropractic care, on and off for almost 30 years. Unfortunately, it's the "on and off" part that caused my problem. On January 22, 2009, I was taken by ambulance to the emergency room with a sky-high blood pressure. The ER Doctor put me on meds and sent me home. Over the following 8 months, after trying at least 9 different prescriptions, I was still on 6 of them, with a myriad of side effects that were affecting my productivity, balance, energy levels and more. Theresa: Let me start my testimony with a great question...If we all take our children to the dentist for regular check-ups to keep their teeth healthy, Why don't we take to them to chiropractic to keep their spines and central nervous systems healthy?
My name is Theresa and I have been under Chiropractic care for as long as I can remember. I started Chiropractic Care as a very young child. My parents understood the importance of keeping my sisters, brother, and myself very healthy. We went for regular check ups and also if we had any slips or falls, as children do quite often! Chiropractic Care is not just for aches or pains in the back and neck. It is also for those who want to live a long, healthy, life. Because it has always been a part of my life, I thought it to be very important for the life of my family as well. You see, God entrusted my husband and I with two wonderful children and we, like our parents, took their health very seriously. Our children have grown up seeing Drs. Hess. They too were able to be very healthy children!

Now, God has blessed us with a granddaughter and she has been under chiropractic care since she was born (Six days old to be exact). My granddaughter is now 16 months old and she has NEVER had an ear infection, cold, or those infectious runny noses that most infants tend to have today.

The old saying goes like this...A stitch in time saves nine. And i say, why wait till something happens before you see a chiropractor?
